Dear Anura,
I plan on writing an additional review after staying with a few families from the homestaybooking.com website, but I wanted to respond to you directly as well. No idea how you found my little site, but I’m glad you’re here. Even if you are leaving rude comments on my website.

You are actually allowed to contact families directly via the e-mail feature on the site, which is how I did things. I’m not sure how a minor would arrive in Los Angeles without your consent, since you need a credit card and you need to send a request in order to book with a family and get any of their information (address, direct e-mail, phone number, etc) so with regards to those things – I do not agree with you and would like to declare that you, too, are false.

I have met some of the most hospitable, kind, lovely people in France because of homestaybooking.com, but I am sure not every experience has been as great as mine.

I do agree about Olaf, though. I had an issue with a family I planned on staying with and he could not have cared less to help me resolve it or get back to me in a timely manner.

So, that’s it. Thanks for my first negative comment, Stranger. I’ll look back on this fondly. Maybe come back and leave some more? Looking forward it!

The above review is false homestaybooking.com does not allow you to know anything more than what is pre-packaged on a template for their website.

I had a minor child arrive in Los Angeles, California from France with no notification or my consent. The owner Olaf only cares about making his 10% fee, which he takes from you the customer before he will allow you to speak to a total stranger that you will live with in another country.

Please do not trust this company with your safety abroad…

I think that no matter where you go on this trip, you are awesome. To go ANYWHERE alone that you have never been to before is a feat.
